Zaidi Kiggundu (Ziggy Funk) and Jamie Mcshane, met at a music festival in 2016. Sharing a love for Funk, Jazz, and Soul music, the duo knew they had to collaborate on a project together. Both Zaidi and Jamie had established music careers, bringing their unique backgrounds and experiences to the table.

Following the success of their acclaimed single 'Feel The Rush', Zaimie delves deeper into their signature sound on "Black Velvet," weaving together a rich tapestry of Jazz, Funk, Soul, and global influences.
