Compton siblings Jacqueline, Lyn, Pat, Rae and Gennie Jackson cut just one single as The Jackson Sisters, but it's a stone-cold classic. The extended mix now lands on 7" for the first time here through premier soul feeders Expansion, bringing the track's shimmering soul-funk uplift and vocal finesse back into focus. 'I Believe In Miracles' was penned by Mark Capanni and arranged by Gene Page, the man behind the strings on Barry White's biggest hits. Production came courtesy of Bobby Taylor and Pete Moore (Smokey Robinson & The Miracles), and when the track first dropped in 1973, it earned the group nods on Soul Train and nominations from Record World and the Black Image Awards. Now a rare groove anthem, it enjoys a radical life extension in the long hereinafter of the British scene.
